Young Learners: OUR 2-FOR-1 WINTER STORY

Children love winter, snow and especially snowmen. They also enjoy singing about them. The nursery rhymes like Five Little Snowmen are just the ticket for our Snowmen Story Time!

Inspired by this winter classic we  decided to bring it to life in two different forms - a puppet-like mini theatre and a drama show. Both of them being great opportunities for creative learning while having lots of fun.

"Creativity is intelligence having fun." Albert Einstein

According to Bloom's taxonomy, creativity is the highest order thinking skill. It helps us take our learners' skills far beyond the simple understanding and memorizing, adding fun and enhanced motivation into their learning. Being one of the essential 21st century skills, I couldn't agree more with the education scholar Sir Ken Robinson saying that creativity should be treated in the same way as literacy. That is why, in my workshops, I always value any proof of creativity and do my best to nurture this natural ability in every young learner at every opportunity.
